Chad has been composing since his early teens, going on to earn his B.A. in vocal performance with minors in piano and percussion from Grand Valley State University, Michigan.

In 2005, he joined the country music scene in Nashville as a writer for Universal Music Publishing Group.  He recorded his first solo project in 2007 titled “Far Side Of The World” and has released over a dozen projects since then under his own record labels and for various churches in Michigan and Idaho.  He has arranged original compositions and performed them with the Boise Philharmonic and Serenata Orchestra.

Chad’s original song “Flying Free” is featured in the award-winning short documentary My Story of Alzheimer’s Disease” directed by Kim Plumridge and Andrew Duncan.  In addition, Flying Free” received the “Best Song” award in the Top Shorts Film Festival September 2021 and was nominated for “Best Song” in the New York International Film Awards November 2021 Edition.

Working from his home studio in Boise, Chad uses both sampled and real-world instrumentation. While he believes there’s nothing better than real musicians behind the microphone, current technology is nothing to downplay. “We’ve come a long way since reel to reel tape and synthesizers.”
